David Gossow is a Research Engineer at Willow Garage. He received his Master in Computer Science from the Universität Koblenz in 2009. Since then, he has worked as a researcher with Prof. Paulus of Universität Koblenz and Prof. Beetz of Technische Universität München. He lead efforts to develop complete robotic systems for search and rescue as well as mobile manipulation in domestic environments, with a focus on system design and algorithms for object recognition, localization and mapping.
He interned at Willow Garage in 2011, where he developed tools for human-in-the-loop teleoperation, including Interactive Markers. His current work covers tools for visualization, teleoperation, calibration and mapping.
